GARETH BALE

Gareth Bale who should not have been on this list but due to his strained relationships with the club and Zinedine Zidane, it seems inevitable that the Welshman will be offloaded this season. The 31-year-old has had a brilliant individual season on loan at Tottenham Hotspur, scoring with 16 goals and three assists in just 20 starts. His figures this season are comparatively better than all the forwards of Real Madrid put together, excluding Karim Benzema.

Bale has also surprisingly managed to stay fit for the majority of the season. He is career is certainly not yet over given his level of performance this season, but his career at the Spanish capital is certainly dusted.

Real Madrid will look to sell this summer to raise funds and free up wages. The right-winger could return to Tottenham on a permanent transfer as Spurs will attempt to replace Harry Kane who is keen on leaving the club. Bale has proved his quality this season in the Premier League and could potentially sign with Spurs for a season or two before retiring. It is unfortunate that Gareth Bale’s situation has spiraled down to such an extent but his relationship with the club and Zinedine Zidane is unrepairable.
