LUKA JOVIC

Luka Jovic, promising talent and an upcoming striker who had a stellar campaign with Eintracht Frankfurt in 2018, signed for Real Madrid after Zinedine Zidane convinced him to join. However, the Serbian has struggled to adapt to his new environment and barely received any game-time during his one and half-season stay at the Spanish capital. His confidence was shattered and then he was loaned out earlier this year to rebuild his confidence in a previously known environment, Eintracht Frankfurt.

However, Jovic’s spell at Frankfurt has not been a failure nor has it been a success. The Eagles already had their talisman in Andre Silva, who has scored 28 goals in 32 matches in the Bundesliga. Nonetheless, Adi Hutter gave the 23-year-old an opportunity in his side.

Luka Jovic managed to score four league goals in 895 minutes in the league, averaging a goal every 224 minutes. Not the most impressive statistics to have a future at Real Madrid. Los Blancos should consider recouping a figure of the 60 million euros they paid to Frankfurt in 2019. The Eagles could possibly end up signing the Serbian since Andre Silva has been on the radar of several top European sides, including Real Madrid.
