DUSAN VLAHOVIC

Dusan Vlahovic took the Serie A by a storm this season, scoring 21 goals for ACF Fiorentina in the Italian league in 37 appearances. The 21-year-old was by far the best younger player in Serie A, however, his efforts in front of goal resulted in being futile as Fiorentina finished 13th on the league table and will not be competing in Europe next season.

The Serbian international has a sweet left-foot that can strike from long range and inside the box. He is also an aerial threat from set-pieces due to his height (6’2 feet) and is quite fast on and off the ball as well.

His performances with Fiorentina this season has seen him receive a national call up to the Serbian team and has even started on two occasions ahead of Luka Jovic. The 21-year-old scored his first national team goal against Ireland in the European World Cup qualifiers.

At 21, Vlahovic has displayed tremendous potential and is also on the radar of top clubs including the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United. The Serbian has provided an update about his future by stating:

"“You never know, maybe it will happen tomorrow,” he said. “Or maybe I’ll stay my entire career in Serie A”"

He is currently valued at just 25 million euros on the transfer market which makes him an affordable signing for Real Madrid. However, Los Blancos could face a stumbling block in convincing the player to join after Gennaro Gattuso has officially taken over the managerial role at Fiorentina.

The former Napoli and AC Milan manager will attempt to convince Vlahovic to stay for another season and will assure him to be the star player in his set up to secure European football next season.
