KEEP LUKA JOVIC AND SELL BORJA MAYORAL

Luka Jovic deserves a fair shot next season and he possibly could be handed one if Zinedine Zidane parts ways with the club. His short loan stint at Frankfurt has not been anything exceptional but it has also not been underwhelming either.

After receiving just 895 minutes in the Bundesliga this season, Jovic managed to find the back of the net four times for the Eagles, averaging a goal every 224 minutes in the league. These stats are not impressive when compared to his 2018/19 breakthrough season when he scored 17 goals in the Bundesliga and 10 goals in the Europa League.

Nonetheless, Jovic is still a promising striker with a lot of potential that can be unlocked with sufficient game-time and confidence from the manager. Right before Real Madrid loaned him out, Jovic proved his worth with the national team scoring three goals in the three games along with an assist in the UEFA Nations League.

Meanwhile, Borja Mayoral has had a fantastic season with AS Roma and it seems certain that Roma will opt to sign the striker permanently. Jose Mourinho will be the first team manager next season and the Portuguese would want the Spaniard to be part of his plans. The best option would be to sell Borja Mayoral for a decent figure and give Luka Jovic another opportunity at the Spanish capital.
