Eden Hazard can be considered as the White Knight of Real Madrid in the eyes of Zinedine Zidane. However, Gareth Bale has unfortunately earned the title of a Dark Knight despite being one of the club’s best-ever signings.

There were rumours circulating his retirement after the Euro’s but those have now been deemed as fake. The 31-year-old has made a decision on his future that will be made public after international duty.

However, can Bale’s decision change with Zinedine Zidane leaving the club? It certainly will play a major role in his decision given his strained relationship with the Frenchman. Zidane’s departure could mean that Bale would not have to warm the bench anymore and he could be given a shot if the new manager includes him in his plans.

I mean, whoever replaces Zizou will certainly start a fresh relationship with Bale and it’s obvious that he needs to start over the likes of Asensio or Rodrygo on the right-wing given his offensive and defensive prowess.

The Welsh international could possibly consider seeing out his contract at Real Madrid for another season if he is part of the plans. Gareth Bale has already proven his quality this season with Tottenham Hotspur, scoring 16 goals for Spurs in all competitions including a hattrick in the Premier League.
