Real Madrid Transfers: 3 reasons why Isco should be sold
Real Madrid are poised for a busy summer transfer window. Although most Madridistas are focusing their hopes on who will come in to change the club for the better during this period of transition, the reality is that Real will have to let a lot of players go. And that’s especially the case if they want to swing an ambitious deal. Or two.
Isco is one of the players on the list of long-time Madridistas who could depart the club. Let’s take a look at three reasons why Los Blancos need to part ways with the once-promising attacking midfielder in the summer 2021 transfer window.
It’s better for Isco to leave Real Madrid
The first reason has to do with Isco. He is still a good player, but he doesn’t really get a chance to show that at Real Madrid. Aside from the fact that Isco barely starts nowadays, the reality is that he doesn’t have the opportunity to show his best stuff in Madrid even when he does play.
Isco is an exciting and gifted footballer in terms of his dribbling, vision, technique, and short passing. But he is a player who needs the ball. He is one of those players who benefits more from being the focal point of a gameplan and having the ball at his feet.
At Real Madrid, though, Isco has to be more of an auxiliary player and change his style to fit the likes of Karim Benzema, Luka Modric, and Toni Kroos as more of a role player. In truth, Isco’s never really made that adjustment.
He only has a few years left of top-level football in his career. In order to be all he can be, it’s better for him to leave to a club that can offer him more usage and a better fit. I wonder if his performances would boost in a more befitting situation.
