Eintracht Frankfurt ST Luka Jovic

The last name on this list of five is the player I’d be most reluctant to see walk away from Real Madrid. Luka Jovic joined Los Blancos for about 60 million euros in the summer 2019 transfer window, and he was very promising in his first season despite barely playing. His backheel passes to create goals were highly impressive, for example.

Jovic got back-to-back starts to begin the 2020-2021 season for the only time in his brief Real Madrid career thus far. He was decent in those appearances, but Zinedine Zidane could not risk taking out Karim Benzema for him. And thus, Jovic barely played, logging just 207 minutes for the Royal Whites before getting loaned back to Eintracht Frankfurt this winter.

If Eintracht sell Andre Silva, one of the most prolific strikers in all of Europe this season, in the summer window, then they will have a lot of interest in keeping Jovic permanently.

It seems as if Real Madrid have given up on Jovic. Most transfer rumors indicate that the player is for sale, while Los Blancos have been eyeing Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland as forward acquisitions. Plus, it’s not like Jovic is going to play over Benzema any time soon, given that Benz scored 30 goals as the team’s clear MVP this past season.
