If Kylian Mbappe does sign for Real Madrid this summer transfer window, it would mark the beginning of a great transfer domino.

The 22-year-old has been linked with Los Blancos for the past few years, however, after three inactive transfer windows, Real are gearing up to sign the big fish of the transfer market, Mbappe.

According to a report from AS, if Mbappe does complete a move to the Spanish capital this summer, it would have a domino effect on the future of Juventus’ Cristiano Ronaldo and Paris Saint-Germain’s Mauro Icardi.

Mbappe to Real Madrid – Ronaldo to PSG and Icardi to Juventus

That’s the entire domino summed up. Kylian Mbappe’s move to Real Madrid would free up a slot on the left wing at the Parc des Princes. Paris Saint-Germain considers Cristiano Ronaldo to be the ideal replacement for their 22-year-old. Ironic isn’t it? Real Madrid considers Mbappe to fill in Ronaldo’s void and PSG considers Ronaldo to fill in Mbappe’s void.

If Kylian Mbappe does not renew terms with Paris Saint-Germain in the next few months, they will consider selling him to the highest bidder since his contract runs out next year. Cristiano Ronaldo also faces the same situation as he is on the back of an expiring contract and could be offloaded this summer as Juventus look to balance their books.

Ronaldo has also been linked with a return to the Spanish capital, however, those rumours seem highly unlikely as Los Blancos want to rebuild their squad with younger players for the future, Mbappe being the perfect example. If the former Manchester United winger completes a move to PSG this summer, then Mauro Icardi will be sold to Juventus to complete the transfer domino.

While this transfer domino may sound very interested, the likelihood of it happening is quite unlikely, in my opinion. To begin with, Real Madrid first needs to free up their wages and will have to sell a lot of deadwood before they can even begin their negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain and Kylian Mbappe. This trident domino can only take place if Mbappe signs for Madrid which is also quite doubtful given the club’s financial struggles.
