3 reasons why Real Madrid will have to sell Raphael Varane
HE WANTS A NEW CHALLENGE
At the age of 28, Raphael Varane has won every possible collective club trophy and on multiple occasions as well. He has four Champions League titles and three La Liga titles to his name and has just entered the prime years of his career. It is understandable that Varane wants to seek a new challenge in his career or a change of air after spending so many years at the Spanish capital.
A move to the Premier League could further help Varane build and extend his legacy as one of the best defenders. Apart from a new challenge, the 28-year-old could also be wanting a better contract as compared to the one he currently earns at Real Madrid.
The exact figure that Varane earns at Real has not been disclosed but several reports suggest he earns a figure close to 8 million euros a year. Clubs like Manchester United or Paris Saint-Germain can offer the 28-year-old a far better contract in terms of wages which could be another reason why he has not yet renewed terms with Real Madrid. Varane could be waiting for a better offer to arrive by Los Blancos or he could complete a switch to whichever interested suitor meets his demands.
