Euro 2020 is just about to start. The competition commences on June 11 with 24 teams competing in this thrilling competition to prove themselves as the king of Europe.

A total of 9 Real Madrid players from 7 different nations have been called up to feature in Euros. It came to all of our surprises when not even a single Real Madrid player was called up by Luis Enrique to represent Spain.

The list of Real Madrid players who have been called up:

Goalkeepers:

Thibaut Courtois – Belgium

Andriy Lunin – Ukraine

Defenders:

Raphael Varane – France

David Alaba – Austria

Midfielders:

Luka Modric – Croatia

Toni Kroos – Germany

Forwards:

Gareth Bale – Wales

Karim Benzema – France

Eden Hazard – Belgium

Each of these players is crucial for Real Madrid and we have a reason to watch them. The future of some players depends upon their performance. We will also get to see how much our new signing, David Alaba impresses us.

Well, I believe that we must watch these five players in the Euros.

Toni Kroos:

The German has been a key player for his nation throughout his career. His goal vs Sweden in FIFA World Cup 2018 was a spectacular one. The reason I took Kroos in this watch-out list is because of his spectacular form despite injuries.

We have seen Classic Kroos performances throughout the year. His passing has been extraordinary. How can someone even forget the lofted ball to Vinicius against Liverpool? He has been the major contributor to Real’s goals this season.

According to WhoScored.com, Toni averages 8.2 long balls in LaLiga and 9.1 long balls in the UCL, which is impressive. He has scored 3 goals in LaLiga with 10 assists and an average of 2.4 Key Passes per game. He has also assisted 2 goals in the UCL. Kroos has been awarded the Man of the Match 4 times.

So, we can say that he will be very crucial for Germany. Also, it would be really interesting to see how he performs given that Germany is in the toughest group stage.
