He is the top scorer for Real and his goal-scoring ability has been absolutely brilliant. Since the departure of Cristiano, he has stepped up to lead Real’s attack and has taken his game to a whole new level. His quality has been so great that he has now finally received the long-awaited call for the French team.
According to WhoScored.com, the no. 9 has registered 23 Goals and 9 Assists averaging a rating of 7.57 in LaLiga with 3.6 shots per game. In the UCL, he has scored 8 goals and has averaged a rating of 7.4 and 3.3 shots per game. Benzema has been awarded a total of 10 Man of the Match awards.
Not only this, many fans would actually love to see him in the French jersey because of another reason, Kylian Mbappe. Real have been targeting him since 2019 and now, when the time has finally come to make a bid for him, we have got an early chance to see the chemistry between the two.
