EDEN HAZARD

It’s disheartening that we haven’t yet witnessed the best of Eden Hazard. Real Madrid fans have only been treated to a few moments of brilliance from the Belgian international and nothing more. I’m pretty sure that 115 million euros weren’t paid for a few noteworthy cameo appearances.

Nonetheless, it’s a fresh start for Hazard again, a new coach, a new system, and a fresh opportunity for Eden. Before we can set an expectation bar from the former Chelsea winger for next season, we need to wait and see how performs in Euro 2020.

Let’s say Hazard has a good outing with Belgium, he keeps fit and manages to score a couple of goals. That’ll get his confidence back and put him on the right track. If that’s the case, we can at least expect 10 goals from Eden Hazard next season in all competitions.

10 goals in an entire season should not be too difficult for the 30-year-old. Given the number of injuries he’s had in the past two years along with his age, it is certain that there will be relapses next season as well and he might lose out on a couple of games because of it. However, if he does keep fit for at least 20-25 games ( full games), we can expect 10 goals, right? That’s a realistic figure.
