LUKA JOVIC

Another marquee signing from the 2019-20 summer window that has not yet proven his worth at Real Madrid. Luka Jovic, the club’s most expensive striker in its history is expected to be given a lifeline after Carlo Ancelotti’s reappointment. Had Zinedine Zidane continued at the helm, it was certain that Jovic would be sold.

But for now, it seems like the 23-year-old will stay and fight for a place. It’s obvious he’s not going to bench Benzema but Ancelotti will probably make more use of the Serbian in certain fixtures or at least off the bench around the 60th-minute mark.

We’ve all seen his quality in the 2018-19 season with Eintracht Frankfurt, where he scored 27 goals in all competitions for the Eagles. If Jovic does receive a considerable amount of game time, we can expect goals from the Serbian marksman.

Expectations- 5-10 goals in all competitions.

MARIANO

There’s no certainty that Mariano Diaz will continue at the club next season. Real Madrid will once again look to offload the former Lyon striker this summer, however, he would only leave the club provided his new team meets his wage demands.

Given his lack of involvement, it would be difficult to find such a team that would meet Mariano’s demands. However, if he does stay, he’ll once again have a sporadic role in the team and might be used from time to time. On that note, we can’t really have any expectations for him.
