The onus has shifted on Karim Benzema’s shoulders and the Frenchman has performed well above expectations in the Portuguese’s absence.
However, Benzema needs support and Florentino Perez knows that which is why Los Blancos are gearing up to sign Kylian Mbappe. If the Mbappe move does not go through, Real Madrid desperately need a plan B as it would foolish to go another season with the same inept attacking options.
With that being said, Erling Haaland would be a fantastic addition due to his goal-scoring exploits and could partner up with Karim Benzema in a 4-4-2 formation. However, Real Madrid would probably be last on the list to sign Haaland and mainly due to financial reasons.

Dortmund would demand well over 100 million euros for their prodigy, Haaland will also demand a hefty wage which will be coupled with his super-agent’s demand Mino Raiola and his father’s demands Alfie Haaland. The entire operation could cost up to 200 million euros which again makes it a tough one for the Whites.
