4. Spain CB Pau Torres

The first name on the list isn’t someone Madridistas aren’t aware of. He is the friendly LaLiga face who has been linked on and off with the club since his glamourous display for the yellow submarine, Villarreal. He also has this year’s UEFA Europa League title in his resume, nonetheless. He is  Spain’s, Pau Torres.

Pau has played all three of Spain’s group stage games. He has been decisive in the first game against Sweden and helped his side from conceding with crucial defensive interventions. Whoscored even rated him above 7 for his efforts in that game. He returned strong in the next game too against Poland, statistically putting in more than he did in the last game. However, his overall game and dropping accuracy on the ball had him kept off the starting line-up for Spain’s last game.

Pau, however, appeared as a substitute and with his early touches of the match forced an own goal which took Spain’s lead over Slovakia to 5-0. Overall, he played well enough to put him at the bottom of this list. Pau is a realistic option and we may well see him move to the Spanish capital in the summer’s transfer window.

He would have a 50 million euros release clause activated in the summer. Though, there are questions about his price tag keeping an eye on him would still be a smart thing to do. He after all is someone tried and tested to the Spanish conditions and the Royal White club needs to find their bench strength after a season wracked with injuries and fatigue.
