3. Netherlands RB Denzel Dumfries

The Netherlands is having a fabulous European campaign so far. Players like Memphis Depay are shining for the Oranje after returning to a major international event. But, if there has been one truly consistent campaigner in the Netherlands side then it definitely is the right-back, Denzel Dumfries.

The PSV man has been so impressive that he is leading lists of best players for a lot of pundits. Being a defender he scored consecutively in the two first group stage games and his overall work rate has been amazing. Real Madrid could use a player like him on the right. Dani Carvajal struggled with injuries this past season. Alvaro Odriozola is rumored to leave and Lucas Vazquez isn’t a traditional right-back.

Dumfries, though a player not very highly rated in terms of Club football, could prove to be an amazing asset to the club. There will be questions upon him if he would fit well in the squad but he is worth including in a list that discusses players who have IMPRESSED as transfer targets.

After two back-to-back wins, Dumfries was rested and kept off the starting XI. This shows how valuable he is to the Dutch camp. He was given his deserved rest because a knockout spot was guaranteed after two wins. He appeared later as a substitute and played well enough to maintain an overall rating of 7.25 in the European Championships so far, per WhoScored.
