Real Madrid: List of players who will not be in the first team next season

The engine room, the most important aspect of a team’s setup before a game. Real Madrid arguably still have the best midfield trio in Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, and Casemiro. However, like any other midfield trio or pairing in the world, this one too has its strengths and weaknesses. One of the weaknesses in our trio is the age factor.

Which is why depth in the midfield is going to be crucial to rotate Toni Kroos and Luka Modric during the course of the season. The options from the bench are expected to be the following: Dani Ceballos, Federico Valverde, Isco, and Martin Odegaard. Antonio Blanco too, maybe.

While looking at the options from the bench, it seems like Ceballos might be the only one who could be offloaded this summer. Isco was considered as a player who will be sold, however, Carlo Ancelotti fancied him a lot in his first tenure and could make use of him this time around.

With that being said, Carlo Ancelotti wants one more midfielder in his set up and Italy’s Nicolo Barella has being linked. If Real Madrid are to sign another midfielder this summer then Dani Ceballos would be the one that would have to be sacrificed.
