HIS LINK-UP PLAY WITH MBAPPE WAS EXCITING

For most Real Madrid fans, watching Karim Benzema play with Kylian Mbappe in the Euros was a mini trailer of what is it come in the future (hopefully this summer). When Benzema was selected to represent France, the talk was all about his potential link-up with Kylian Mbappe.

Benzema’s off and on the ball movement is amongst the very best and so is his link-up play. He paired up well with Mbappe up front despite the limited training sessions. There were a few moments of magic between the two, Benzema’s trick pass to Mbappe against Germany that put him clear on goal before Matt Hummels took him down or one of Mbappe’s flicks to Benzema against Hungary that should have been converted. The pair got along well and if Kylian Mbappe is to sign for Real Madrid this summer, we can expect a deadly combination in the frontline with Karim Benzema.

Apart from his link up with the 22-year-old, Karim Benzema linked up well with the other players as well including Antoine Griezmann and Paul Pogba in the midfield. One could say that Benzema was the driving force in Didier Deschamp’s side and performed far better than the rest of the forwards.
