Real Madrid Transfers: Ranking the three golden options at signing Kylian Mbappe
1. BREAK THE BANK FOR KYLIAN MBAPPE
Real Madrid certainly is not the most financially sound club globally, especially post-pandemic. The club’s financial predicament is a cause for concern and can only be addressed by a mass summer exodus to reduce the inflated wage payroll and garner sufficient funds.
With that being said, the club must consider offloading several players this summer. In my previous article, I had analysed a few players that could be sold this summer for a certain sum to help raise 150 million euros.
Since Mbappe does not want to renew terms with PSG, it would be foolish to hold onto the best youngster in the world and watch him leave for free in a year’s time. Instead, cashing on Mbappe now should be PSG’s priority and the transfer fee received should be used to sign a replacement instead.
On that note, if Paris Saint-Germain does consider cashing on Mbappe, it would be for a slightly reduced fee since his contract expires in exactly a year’s time. With that being said, Real Madrid must break the bank this summer and go all out for Mbappe. A transfer fee of around 100-120 million euros could be enough solely because of his recent decision to not renew his deal.
