Real Madrid rarely ever go without landing the player they are desperate for. The case with Mbappe is no different. In addition to that, the club has also maintained an extremely clean slate of relations with the PSG hierarchy which they hope will allow them to sign the forward. Moreover, he is a dream signing for the Merengues for the present as well as the future.

While they may have to break the bank and stretch to uncomfortable lengths this summer to sign the 22-year-old, Florentino Perez knows better than anyone else, the benefits of signing him. The Madrid chief will no doubt have looked at the financial aspect of signing Mbappe, as it is a department in which he will successfully replace Cristiano Ronaldo too, besides the sporting.

Mbappe is an extremely marketable player and could be the club’s ticket to recovery from the coronavirus. In addition to that, Perez will use Mbappe’s signing as a shield to several of his mistakes which include, but are not limited to letting Ramos and possibly Varane leave in the same transfer window- they were arguably the club’s greatest defensive pair ever.

With the backline likely to ship more goals than in the past few seasons, Mbappe’s arrival may also bring equilibrium in that regard as he will contribute to a sizeable amount of goals.
