Luka Jovic is back to training with Carlo Ancelotti in the first-team in pre-season. Whether he has a future at the club or not is a question which only time will answer. Nevertheless, Real Madrid could look to get rid of him by the end of the transfer market in order to gather funds for Kylian Mbappe. One must also know that Jovic is among the club’s highest paid players despite making a low impact.
In a season and a half at the Santiago Bernabeu, he has just managed two La Liga goals and seems to be unsettled in Madrid. He certainly did not have Zinedine Zidane’s confidence and trust either. With that said, PSG may be a great destination for him to find his feet given that the French side might move on from the underperforming Mauro Icardi as well.
Ligue 1 is a bit inferior to La Liga and also the Bundesliga, so Jovic could have the chance to play on a more regular basis. Mariano Diaz also succeeded in France with Olympique Lyon before ultimately returning to Real Madrid, so that’s something Jovic could be interested in pursuing as well. But a permanent transfer looks like a difficult choice.
Should PSG fail to sign Moise Kean from Everton, Jovic may be used as a makeweight via loan as Real Madrid did to Mateo Kovacic three years ago when signing Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea.
