Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane has been heavily linked with Manchester United for a possible summer move. As reported by AS, a player swap plus cash deal could be on the cards between the two clubs.

As such, which players in the current Manchester United squad should Real Madrid prioritize as possible swap options? Here is a ranked list of three.

3. Aaron Wan-Bissaka helps Real Madrid in a lot of ways

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is one of the young prospects at Manchester United who is nearing his peak. WhoScored ranks him as the second-best Manchester United player in Premier League, second to only their general in midfield, Bruno Fernandes. He has bagged an overall WhoScored rating of 7.15 for his performances in the league.

The reason I chose a right-back is that Alvaro Odriozola could very possibly be on a summer move out of the Bernabeu. That would only leave us with Dani Carvajal as the traditional right-back. Lucas Vazquez is handy and can play well at that position. But, the truth is he is a forward at the end of the day, and even if he did brilliantly with the job last season, he did have one or two decisive slip-ups.

Additionally, Wan-Bissaka can also play wide in the midfield and he shares a profile very similar to that of David Alaba, both of them are excellent ball-holding players who love to chip into the attack and are comfortable advancing on the pitch. He might just be the player to release Lucas Vazquez off his defensive duties and help Carvajal with some quality rotation. Someone in whom, David Alaba can find his perfect wide-partner at Bernabeu.
