1. Ajax CM Ryan Gravenberch

At 19 years of age, only a few are better at their art than Ryan Gravenbrech. He has been making headlines with the game time he is getting at just nineteen years of age. He also made it to the Dutch national team for the Euros and managed to make two appearances too, where he has an overall match rating of 7.02, per WhoScored.

He has also been able to maintain an over 7 match rating for the whole season in the Europa League and Eredivisie. He has a total of 12 goal contributions, shared equally between goals, and assists in all competitions for club and country. Ryan’s game has a lot to do with his holding abilities. He also attempts long balls with regularity and is always among key passes and accurate crossings.

The amount of maturity he exhibits in his play at such a young age is a big promising factor for bigger things in the future. He is currently valued at 33 million euros by Transfermarkt and would be a steal at that price point. He could be a player targeted as a potential replacement for the aging Luka Modric with his holding abilities and evident playmaking. He can also come in handy providing some cover for Carlos Casemiro as we have seen him contributing defensively too.

Gravenberch was earlier featured in the list of midfielders to watch on the transfer market and even now, there is no difference in the amount of admiration I hold for this young man. He played brilliantly in his cameos for the Dutch side at the Euros too. He has shown time and again that he could be the next big thing in midfield and such players belong to one place alone, the Royal White club.
