There are no words to describe how impressive he has been lately. He certainly had a dream season. Even though his season ended up with an injury against Barcelona, he finally got the trust he had been craving for years.

Ever since he started playing for the first team, he has had struggles in trying to establish himself at the Spanish capital. But now, The Spanish Warrior seems to have finally succeeded even though it was at an unlikely position of a Right Back.

He pulled off a perfect job of a Right Wing Back. He was sharp defensively and offered a lot on the attack. Despite playing a more defensive role for most of the season, he managed to score 2 goals and get 7 assists in his name.

All his hard work earned him a well-deserved contract extension of 3 years. Now, with him being with us till 2024, we must relish watching him play at a level at a position we didn’t expect him to. I’m sure he’ll be as spectacular next season as he was this time.

All these years we failed to identify what he has done for us and now that we have finally realized it, I believe it’s high time we start recognizing his efforts and thank him for his loyalty and love for our club.
