HAZARD WILL NOT HAVE A SEASON FREE OF INJURIES

Eden Hazard has suffered innumerable injuries since signing for Real Madrid in 2019/20 – so much so that he has not been able to stay fit for over 10 La Liga fixtures in a row. Moreover, he has undergone a major surgery and one also has to consider the fact that he does not take as much care of his fitness as much as older players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos do.

To imagine that Hazard will have a walk in a park of roses next season is simply absurd and he is bound to have an injury or two, bare minimum, in 2021/22. Given that Real Madrid now have Gregory Dupont back in their fitness coaching setup, the 30-year-old will be particularly well cared for and so, his injuries will not be long-term and only lay him off for two or three weeks at most.

Besides that, he will not suffer any relapses of his previous fitness snags. Ensuring that such instances do not occur will be the most important thing for the Belgian coaching staff and the Real Madrid coaching staff, alike. It is fair to say that he will be the most monitored player at national and club level from a fitness viewpoint and all parties will push to get the best out of him.
