ERLING HAALAND – BORUSSIA DORTMUND

At the young age of 20, Erling Haaland has already scored 106 goals in his professional career. Out of which, 57 goals are for Borussia Dortmund in just 59 appearances. He’s simply a goal-scoring machine who is destined to reach the very pinnacle of greatness.

Erling Haaland paired with Karim Benzema would cause chaos to any backline in all of Europe. Benzema’s ability to hold up and link up play combined with Haaland’s pace and potency in front of goal would simply be unstoppable.

This could potentially be one exciting duo, however, signing Erling Haaland this summer looks complicated. Borussia Dortmund are against the idea of letting Haaland leave after already losing out on Jadon Sancho and prefer holding on to the Norwegian until next year when his 75 million euro release clause will be activated.

With that being said, the probability of Erling Haaland joining forces with Benzema next season at Real Madrid looks unlikely. This could, however, be an option in the summer of 2022 when Los Blancos have to pay just 75 million euros to trigger his affordable release clause.

Until then, let’s have a look at the final player that Real Madrid can consider signing this summer and whether or not he could pair up with Karim Benzema.
