Real Madrid: Five possible strike partners for Karim Benzema next season
CRISTIANO RONALDO – JUVENTUS
Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema shared a heartwarming moment together when France faced Portugal in the Group F of Euro 2020. The two reunited for the first time since 2018 and were spotted having a conversation at half-time and full time.
The duo was signed together in the summer of 2009 and achieved greatness side by side. Benzema was pivotal to Ronaldo’s individual success and vice versa. They both worked in tandem and shared a fantastic understanding on and off the pitch.
Ronaldo, who is on the back of an expiring contract that runs out in 2022, could be offloaded by Juventus this summer, due to financial reasons. There are no talks of a renewal and Juve are looking into the option of cashing on the Portuguese. Florentino Perez has ruled out a return in the past, but there’s always a small chance. At least, I hope so.
Ancelotti was asked the same question in his first press conference to which he replied in a very respectful manner by not passing comments on players of different clubs.
The 36-year-old could possibly be leaving Juventus this summer and a reunion could be on the cards. Would you want to see Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema in white next season?
