Real Madrid: 3 young players who will have a great 2021/22 season

As the final stages of intercontinental tournaments are concluding and as the new season is fast approaching, there is a growing feeling of uncertainty among Real Madrid fans. With various transfer rumors regarding potentially incoming players and outgoing players, there is a sense of instability in the camp.
Regardless of the talk of potential transfers like that of Mbappe, Real Madrid’s success next season will be heavily dependent on the performances of the plethora of young talents already present in the club. The team needs improvements in every aspect and just thinking that one signing can bring about success is not a practical plan.
Here we look at three young players who can have a great 2021/22 season and can finally break into the starting eleven.
Rodrygo
As we go into the 2021/22 season, Rodrygo will start in what would be his third season at Real Madrid. After a sensational hattrick against Galatasaray in UCL in his first year, he has shown similar glimpses of his quality time and again.
Even though Rodrygo missed a couple of months due to injury last season, he was still arguably the best winger on the team.
He has been playing fairly well, even though right-wing is not his preferred position. Many people wonder why he wasn’t given chances as a left winger, which is his natural position. This is a big question mark, given that the player for whom he was made to sacrifice his position, Vinicius, didn’t perform at all well either.
We may see him getting shifted back to his stronger position by Ancelotti. Even in the very few times that he has played in LW, he has shown glimpses of quality and good decision-making in the final third. He can surely be an upgrade over Vinicius, and given that Hazard is always injured, it guarantees him a good amount of playing time.
Last season, he amassed 6 assists, which is only behind Benzema and Kroos. That pretty much explains his ability to influence the game.
In his third season with the club, we may see Rodrygo finally prosper and hopefully develop into a world-class player.
