We often get to see many players being linked to Real Madrid during every transfer window, irrespective of the club’s plans and finances. Young players on the rise, or a top player who wants to move from his current club in search of a new challenge might be linked to Real Madrid, along with few other top clubs.

Maybe the club might be having a look at that player along with many other names and he might be on the club’s list of possible targets. Top clubs have a huge scouting department with reputed personnel who are given the responsibility of finding young and talented players who can be of great use to the club. So there is a chance of a particular player really being on the club’s radar.

We get to see many such rumours every year, during the summer and the winter transfer windows, even though the club isn’t generally that active during the latter period. But considering the stature of Real Madrid, every player might not be at the level required to play for the club.

Some players might not be that essential for the club, especially when the position of that particular player is already filled with numerous options. And there are some players who might be great individually, but they might not be the perfect fit for the club and their playing style might be different from the manager’s requirements.

Then there are some players who might not be that feasible for the club considering the price tag put forward by their respective clubs, or have huge demands which might disturb the properly organised wage bill of the club and may possibly cause some worry in the dressing room.

When you have a look at such rumours, you might say to yourself, “Maybe the club is better off without that signing.” and hope that better this deal doesn’t happen and this rumour doesn’t come true. So let us have a look at five such rumours of this window that must not come true, starting with a rumour related to one of Real Madrid’s former players.
