Real Madrid will get the 2021/22 campaign underway in a month’s time as they take on Deportivo Alaves in La Liga’s first matchday on August 14th. Los Blancos will play a series of friendly matches prior to the season’s kick-off and that is likely to give the fans an idea of the kind of football the team will play under Carlo Ancelotti.

Some more critical questions surrounding the futures of key players and outcasts would be sorted out. Moreover, the Italian will also get a hang of his new side, which is much different from the one he coached six years ago. Other issues on the fans’ minds, such as new signings are set to gain more clarity by the time the season commences, as Madrid look to achieve solid end products.

After a trophyless campaign, the onus will be on the squad to bounce back and go the extra mile in the upcoming season. Needless to say, there will also be a huge amount of responsibility on the medical team’s shoulders which was under tremendous criticism and pressure after diagnosing no less than five dozen injuries in the ill-fated and unusual 2020/21 campaign.
