REAL MADRID MUST WIN A TROPHY IN THE 2021/22 CAMPAIGN

Real Madrid and silverware have been synonymous with one another for decades now. A season without a single trophy is not just seen as an unacceptable mishap by the club’s fans and employees, but by others around the world as well. Heading into 2021/22, the expectations will be higher than ever on Ancelotti and his men to deliver a piece of silverware, at the very least.

A second straight season without a noteworthy trophy will be seen as a crisis at the Santiago Bernabeu and Ancelotti may face a similar fate as he did in 2015 in only his first season in charge. There is also very little room for failure for Real Madrid when it comes to this next season.

They will be part of four competitions – the Spanish Super Cup, La Liga, Copa del Rey and UEFA Champions League. The Copa is a competition which Ancelotti and Real Madrid last won in 2014.

The Italian has a pedigree of being on top of Europe’s summit with several clubs. This is the expectation of each and every squad, irrespective of who stays, departs or arrives at the club.
