Miguel Gutierrez certainly had a great season at Real Madrid. It was special, with him not only getting proper playtime in the Castilla team but also making his first few appearances with the first team. He, indeed, paid back the Frenchman by showing some moments of brilliance and sparks of first-team quality.

As I mentioned earlier that he should be promoted to the first team given how impressive he has been, it doesn’t seem like a possibility now that Marcelo is staying and we have three first-team players fighting for that position.

So, he might not get much playing time after being promoted. But, since he is too good to play with the Castilla, a loan offer seems the most appropriate option at the moment. Arsenal are reportedly planning to pay his release clause of €40m, but this kind of offer seems too good to be true.

So, let us look at some of the possible destinations for a loan spell.

1. Getafe

Ever since Miguel played his debut for Real Madrid’s first team, Getafe were one of the teams who had their eye on the youngster. Getafe has always been a team that loves to bring in young, talented players on loan for a season or two

Even last season, they got Carles Alena and Takefusa Kubo on loan from Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively. They were even able to sign Alena from the Cules recently. Now, Getafe desperately need a left-back given that they will need a backup to Mathias Olivera.

They are particularly looking for Miguel as he also offers an attacking threat. Moreover, if Miguel moves to Getafe, he will still be in LaLiga and compete against his parent club Real Madrid and also against some other top teams like FC Barcelona and Atletico de Madrid.

Also, Real Madrid were pretty satisfied with the minutes Kubo got at Getafe and might be convinced to loan Miguel there. So, a move to Getafe seems a nice possibility.
