Real Madrid: Possible loan destinations for Miguel Gutierrez
By Eesh Jhamb
3. Arsenal
We all know that Odegaard was on loan at Arsenal and he was satisfied with it. He settled quickly over there and got the game time he expected. The reason why he chose Arsenal was that the Gunners play in the Premier League.
In Premier League, managers prefer to play a more offensive midfield which suits Odegaard’s playing style. Teams love to push forward with their full-backs as well, and that is what suits Miguel. He’s a player who loves to play more in the attack because as I said earlier, he is a bit like Marcelo. Also, the pacey attackers would be a challenge for him to defend. Such challenges are what youngsters crave to really develop into better versions of themselves.
Moreover, reports of Arsenal being interested in paying his release clause of €40m show how desperately they need a player of this much calibre in the team. So, a loan to Arsenal seems to be the most appropriate in my opinion.
But Real Madrid would probably only be willing to send such a player on a loan without an option to buy. So, that could create a fraction in the agreement but otherwise, this move seems the best for Miguel.
