3. BORJA MAYORAL

Borja Mayoral who is away on loan with AS Roma in the Serie A is undoubtedly Real Madrid’s best loanee for this past season. My colleague Kevin Parvizi previously rated him an 8.0 and declared him the best Real Madrid loanee in our attempt to grade all the loanees. And, I couldn’t agree with him more.

Borja Mayoral has been a standout among all the loanees of Real Madrid. He registered a whopping 21 goal contributions for the Serie A outfit in all competitions and remained a key goal-scorer for them with a total of 17, per WhoScored.

At 21 years of age, he is a player who should be targeted to be retained post his loan spell that ends in June 2022, per Transfermarkt. However, his contract has an option to buy for Roma at 20 million euros, according to the club’s official website. That doesn’t go to negate that he is still a Real Madrid player and that he deserves to be rated as high as among the top 3 in this list.

Mayoral has given the fans something the other players on the list so far couldn’t. He gave us rigid results in terms of the record he kept during his first season playing for the Italian club. It is also notable that he played on the European stage in the UEFA Europa League and has maintained a splendid record there too. He was Roma’s top scorer with seven goals while registering two assists.
