HOUSSEM AOUAR- OLYMPIQUE LYON

According to ESPN, Houssem Aouar was keen on signing for Barcelona or Real Madrid last season, however, the negotiations fell through. The midfielder is now heavily linked with Arsenal but Los Blancos still have a shot at signing him if they make a move.

The French international is currently valued at a mere 25 million euro price tag and Lyon are open to the idea of selling him for that figure, according to ESPN. Dani Ceballos has not lived up to the expectations to remain at Real Madrid and if Los Blancos sell him this summer then they must replace him with Aouar who is available at an affordable rate.

The 23-year-old is a talented youngster who can play as a central midfielder and even as an attacking midfielder. Carlo Ancelotti wants to play counter-attacking football in his second stint at the Spanish capital and having Aouar on the bench could be a potential game-changer for the Italian when needed to break the deadlock.

However, if Real Madrid are to sign the Lyon midfielder this summer then they must act soon as Arsenal are nearing a deal for Aouar. If Florentino Perez can strike a deal before Arsenal does then there’s no doubt that Houssem Aouar would opt for a move to the Spanish capital over north London.
