Leon Goretzka (Germany and Bayern Munich)

Next up on the list is the Bayern Munich star Leon Goretzka. The midfielder, who is popularly known for his insane physical transformation in 2020, didn’t play a lot in Euros, as he initially struggled to get minutes due to an injury issue. But he proved himself in the limited playing time he got and made his mark with a highly important equalizer against Hungary.

Goretzka is a player every team would dream to have. He is a perfect mixture of athleticism and technical quality and is perfectly suited to modern football while having the ability to play in any midfield position and formation. He also had an excellent season with Bayern Munich as he claimed 8 goals and 9 assists in all competitions, playing a crucial role in their successful Bundesliga campaign.

Goretzka is a great player and he is currently worth 70 million euros. And everyone knows how difficult it is to buy a German player from Bayern Munich (of course, unless that player is Toni Kroos), which makes the transfer much more improbable.

But Real Madrid and other clubs interested in Goretzka might have a slight advantage here, as the contract renewal talks between Bayern and the 26-year-old aren’t going on well with disagreements on wages, as per Sport 1. This could increase the chances of a possible Goretzka departure with his contract expiring next year. He could be a great addition to our midfield and could be easily used regularly due to his versatility.
