2. Real Madrid Defenders:

Let’s now move to the defenders. Starting with the right backs, Carvajal would be the obvious starter. Backing him would be Alvaro Odriozola, who although is reportedly on the transfer list would stay in the Spanish capital.

In the center, we would see Eder Militao as a new hero and he would be accompanied by Nacho Fernandez and David Alaba. All of us would love to see Raphael Varane play in a Real Madrid jersey, but it seems highly unlikely with reports of him being close to joining Manchester United before the start of the new season.

With only 3 Center Backs, Carlo Ancelotti will be planning to strengthen it with the likes of Jesus Vallejo and Victor Chust. Chust, the Castilla captain won’t be promoted but will be called up only if needed.

At the left-back position, we would see a regular rotation of Ferland Mendy and the new captain Marcelo. Many would argue for the inclusion of Miguel Gutierrez in the list. At a point in time, even I thought that he deserves to be included in the list. But it doesn’t seem like that anymore now that Marcelo is staying. So, he will most probably go out on a loan.
