Borussia Dortmund‘s Erling Haaland is the most sought-after player in the transfer market this summer alongside Kylian Mbappe. The duo is destined for greatness after showing phenomenal signs of promise at a young age. Given their talent and ability, it’s obvious that both of them are linked with a move to Real Madrid.

At the Spanish capital, Haaland is considered to be the ideal one to replace 33-year-old Karim Benzema in the coming years. Luka Jovic was thought to be a perfect replacement in 2019 but the Serbian has failed to live up to the expectations at the Spanish capital.

Haaland, who is a clinical goal-scoring machine, is just the type of player Los Blancos require to solve their attacking woes. In fact, Madrid are even considered to be the favourites to sign the Norwegian since Florentino Perez shares a cordial relationship with Borussia Dortmund’s president and the player’s super-agent, Mino Raiola.

However, the Merengues priority for the summer is Kylian Mbappe. Mainly because the Black and Yellows have no intention of selling Haaland this summer unless they received an offer of close to 200 million euros. Florentino Perez prefers waiting it out until 2022 instead when Erling Haaland’s 75 million euro release clause will be made available to be triggered.

Chelsea could tempt Dortmund to sell Erling Haaland, and Real Madrid won’t be able to match them

However, the 20-year-old might make a move this summer itself amid serious interest shown by Chelsea. The Blues are very serious about signing Haaland and are willing to offer 175 million pounds, an offer that Real Madrid simply cannot meet this summer, according to El Transistor. BVB could also be open to selling their marksman if Chelsea officially submits an offer around that figure.

Despite winning the Champions League last season, Thomas Tuchel is still keen on recruiting players over the summer to further build his squad. The German is on the lookout for a striker and has narrowed down his hunt to Erling Haaland.

In Tuchel’s system, the offer Paris Saint-Germain manager demands a fast striker that can make runs behind the defence and can score from one-off chances. Timo Werner fits the role, however, the German lacks the finishing touch in the final third and often drifts wide before darting towards the goal. With that being said, Haaland is the go-to option for Chelsea.

If the Blues get their hands on the Norwegian, Florentino Perez must do everything in his power to get Kylian Mbappe to the Spanish capital. If Mbappe continues at PSG and even renews his contract, then Real Madrid would end up losing two of their biggest transfer targets.
