Lately, Florentino Perez has been in the limelight for all the wrong reasons. The Real Madrid president was first involved in the European Super League that received widespread criticism and is now once again the subject of discussion in the media following the audio leaks.

Post-2018, Florentino Perez’s reputation has only spiralled down and he has certainly not done enough in terms of building a successful sporting project. Fans have now reached a boiling point with the president following the departures of Cristiano Ronaldo, Zinedine Zidane and Sergio Ramos.

Sudhir Salvi has made a strong case on how the upcoming season could be a do or die situation for Florentino. However, the 74-year-old could possibly undo all his wrongs this summer and win back the confidence of millions of fans if he delivers the signing of Kylian Mbappe. In other words, the signing of Mbappe could possibly act as a lifeline for Florentino Perez at Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, a recent report from Radio Marca stated that there will not be any new signings this summer at the Spanish capital apart from David Alaba’s free transfer. This decision by the club has certainly not gone down well especially after a turbulent 2020-21 season.

Los Blancos desperately require recruitment over the summer, especially in the attack where the need for a goal scorer is of utmost importance. Kylian Mbappe is the chosen one to rebuild the woeful frontline as he can provide a cutting edge in the final third from the wings, which has been one of Real’s most ineffective areas for the past few seasons.

If Mbappe signs for Real Madrid this summer would it still be a successful transfer window?

Kylian Mbappe’s possible signing would not magically make Real Madrid into serial winners once again. However, it would certainly be a massive addition to the team.

Mbappe’s arrival would revitalise the attack that has been carried by Karim Benzema for far too long. The French duo gets along well, both on and off the field and their chemistry in the frontline would certainly be key in delivering silverware.

As stated before, the wings have been one of the weakest points at Real Madrid since Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure. Only a player like Kylian Mbappe could reinstate the attack since the likes of Eden Hazard, Marco Asensio and Vinicius Junior have all failed terribly in doing so. Unlike the mentioned wingers, Mbappe provides a serious goal-scoring threat while playing out wide which makes him the most favourable transfer target.

With that being said, signing Mbappe this summer would still be considered a successful transfer window at the Spanish capital. However, it is easier said than done as Paris Saint-Germain are expected to play hard.

Meanwhile, Carlo Ancelotti has other plans to address a few concerning areas and might not require the need for transfers.

The Italian plans to use Ferland Mendy as a left-centre back next season. In that case, David Alaba can play as a left-back and his attacking threat from the wings will be pivotal in attacking transitions. In midfield, Ancelotti wants to keep hold of Martin Odegaard and Isco, as he looks to get the best out of both the attacking midfielders
