We often talk a lot about how some of our favourite players should play, how they should position themselves and talk about the tactics our favourite team must use. Well, it is difficult to become a manager and coach a real team, but with EA Sports FIFA every fan can gain the experience and thrill of being in control of their favourite team and making them play in different formations, with different tactics, as per our desire.
The latest version of the world-famous game, FIFA 22 is going to be officially launched on October 1st, 2021, and less than three months are remaining. One of the most exciting aspects of EA Sports FIFA is player ratings. As part of the buildup to the huge event of FIFA 22’s launch, the ratings of many world-class players will be released, including many Real Madrid players. We will get to know the ratings of every Real Madrid player once the game is officially launched, and it is going to be interesting to see how high some of our favourite players will be rated.
In the past few years, Real Madrid’s ratings have taken a slight dip due to the ageing of players and the introduction of youth. Have a look at the overall ratings of Real Madrid in the past four versions of FIFA:
FIFA 18: Attack – 86, Midfield – 86, Defence – 86
FIFA 19: Attack – 83, Midfield – 88, Defence – 86
FIFA 20: Attack – 85, Midfield – 87, Defence – 85
FIFA 21: Attack – 84, Midfield – 86, Defence – 84
This time, it is going to be interesting to see Real Madrid’s overall ratings. The attacking ratings have been on a downward spiral for a long time, but Real Madrid’s attack will be among the best with one signing. The overall ratings will be decided by individual ratings of players, so let us predict the individual ratings of Madridistas, and guess if we can see an increase or decrease in their ratings, starting off with the goalkeepers.
Thibaut Courtois (89 OVR ->90 OVR)
Starting off with Real Madrid’s no.1 and the Belgian wall, Thibaut Courtois. He was rated 88 in FIFA 20, but an excellent season in 2019/20 warranted an increment from 88 to 89. But looks like Courtois isn’t content with a rating of 89, as he followed it up with an even better season. He has been one of Real Madrid’s match-winners in 2020/21 and it is fair to say that he has done enough to be called the best goalkeeper in Spain, alongside Jan Oblak. In FIFA 21, Marc-Andre Ter Stegen and Alisson Becker were rated above the Belgian, but things should be changing this time out.
Andriy Lunin (75 OVR -> 74 OVR)
Lunin’s rating dropped by a unit in FIFA 21, as he couldn’t get to play much in the 2019/20 season. The same can be expected this time out, and it is safe to say that his rating might further decrease. The question isn’t about the quality. He does have it, but he couldn’t get opportunities to show that. He played just 120 minutes all season, and that was never going to be enough to make an impression.
