According to Radio Marca, Real Madrid will not make any further signings this summer after David Alaba’s free transfer from Bayern Munich. In other words, it also means that Kylian Mbappe’s much-awaited transfer to the Spanish capital will be delayed once again.

The 22-year-old’s contract at Paris Saint-Germain expires next year, however, from the player’s camp there’s been little to no interest in renewing terms.

According to Marca, Mbappe has already informed Mauricio Pochettino of his desire to part ways with PSG next year upon the expiration of his contract. Mbappe shares a cordial relationship with the club and its hierarchy and prefers to leave PSG in a respectful manner rather than force an exit out.

Karim Benzema is convinced that Mbappe will sign for Real Madrid next season

According to El Chiringuito TV, Karim Benzema is ‘convinced’ that Kylian Mbappe will sign for Real Madrid next summer. Since the 22-year-old’s contract runs out next year, Los Blancos could potentially agree to personal terms with Mbappe in January 2022-six months before his contract expires and then complete the move at end of the season.

Karim Benzema and Kylian Mbappe have developed a close bond after their campaign with France in the Euro 2020. If Benzema believes that Mbappe will sign in 2022, then there’s a chance that he actually might. Of course, it’s based on a rumor, but you never know. It’s the club making the deals happen and not the player, but you never know what’s going on behind the scenes.

The question arises on whether the former AS Monaco forward would sign a renewal if PSG offers him a mammoth contract. There is no way that Real Madrid can match the financial incentives that PSG can offer. In the end, it simply depends on what Mbappe is looking for.

If he wants a better contract then Paris Saint-Germain is his best choice. But, if he’s looking for a new challenge at a club with a history of success and royalty, then Real Madrid is his priority. Only time will tell what’s in store for the promising Kylian Mbappe.
