Takefusa Kubo is doing well at the Olympics. He has had a few good games, and has helped Japan advance to the semi finals on Saturday. He is the biggest asset of this Japan team at 19 years of age, and he’s only going to get better. If he continues like this, Real Madrid will be able to get a better loan deal for his performances by saying, “OK, had a mixed 2020/21 season, but look how he played at the Olympics.”

That’s what matters, at this point. People emphasize things that happened more recently because it sets the bar, it gives you an idea of what to expect at this point in the player’s career, and even though Kubo didn’t have the greatest season, he’s still capable of being an important cog in a few La Liga teams.

So, Kubo’s landing spots would be based on that for this article. I think he has the potential to do great things, and be one of the best players in the world, but he needs to show intent in every game and prove to the manager that he belongs in the starting XI, just like he’s doing right now for Japan.

I doubt Real Madrid would want Kubo to go to another league, because I’m sure that if everything turns out great, the club will want him back. And at that point, he’d want to have that crucial La Liga experience.

That being said, let’s look at potential options for Takefusa Kubo’s next destination in La Liga.
