Domenico Berardi

Domenico Berardi was also one of the breakout stars of EURO 2020. He started in all three group games for Italy and impressed a lot. His performances earned him several plaudits, and he would be a great addition in terms of goal-scoring.

Berardi has been superb with Sassuolo over the past few years, but he was under the radar. Now that he has come under the spotlight, several clubs across Europe are keeping tabs on him. The right-winger contributed 17 goals and 7 assists in the 2020/21 season, and 14 goals and 10 assists in the season before that. These numbers are exceptional for a winger.

Berardi’s contract situation also makes an acquisition possible. His deal ends in 2024, and he doesn’t seem to extend it further. As of now, his market value is nearly 40 million euros. That is a reasonable amount for a player of his caliber.

Real Madrid does not have a proper right-winger in the team. Marco Asensio has been largely ineffective in this position, and the recently returned Gareth Bale has his injury issues. Berardi could be a great addition to the club and will solve the goal-scoring need. In addition to being a winger, he can also play as a second striker, which would also help to give Benzema some rest.
