KARIM BENZEMA

Were there any doubts that Karim Benzema would be deemed as a non-transferable player? Absolutely not. The French striker has carried Real Madrid’s woeful frontline for three seasons now and has always remained humble despite his phenomenal individual performances.

He’s a Real Madrid legend through and through! and according to reports he’s set to renew terms with Los Blancos until 2023. The 33-year-old was offered a contract until 2024, however, he preferred extending terms until 2023 in case his performances deteriorate with age. Nothing but respect for Karim Benzema.

His performances in the Euro 2020 with France were commendable as he scored four goals for Les Blues, and he turned up during some of the most demanding and difficult fixtures in the competition. The same will be expected from him next season as well.

He will once again lead Madrid’s frontline in the new season under Carlo Ancelotti and the expectations are sky-high for the Frenchman who has been sub-lime for the past couple of seasons.

The former Olympique Lyon striker had recently tested positive for COVID-19 but has now been cleared to resume training with the senior team. Ancelotti will soon have to draft a plan to form his front three, however, one thing is assured that Benzema will remain the indispensable striker in the line-up.
