FEDERICO VALVERDE

Federico Valverde was Real Madrid’s standout player in the 2019/20 season under Zinedine Zidane. His energy, passion, enthusiasm, and relentless pressing in the midfield made him into a fan favourite amongst the Madrid faithful.

However, last season, Valverde endured a somewhat difficult campaign due to injuries. Eventually, the South American struggled with consistency due to the long periods of being sidelined and could not display his best or optimal form for Real Madrid.

The 2021/22 season is a brand new chance for Federico Valverde to cement a place in the team under Carlo Ancelotti. Since Toni Kroos and Luka Modric are heading towards the twilight years of their career, Valverde’s regular involvement is of utmost importance.

Therefore, Florentino Perez has deemed the 23-year-old as an untouchable player in this summer transfer window. The Uruguayan international has immense potential along with the versatility to become one of the best box-to-box midfielders in the world.

Carlo Ancelotti has a gem in his squad and it all depends on how he makes the most out of Valverde this season. According to Marca, the 23-year-old is determined to impress Ancelotti and make the most out of the new season after last year’s disappointment.
