With the 2021-22 season knocking on the door, Carlo Ancelotti gears up for his second stint at the dugout at Real Madrid. The Italian is reportedly happy and content with the squad he has and is looking forward to getting the best out of his players.

Los Blancos will be without Toni Kroos for the opening La Liga fixture against Deportivo Alaves at the Mendizorrotza Stadium due to an injury. Kroos’ absence is certainly not the best way to start the season but Ancelotti has quite a few options at his disposal to form his midfield trio.

According to Jose Luis Sanchez, Carlo Ancelotti is impressed with four players and wants more from them this season. Ancelotti believes that he can get the best out of these players and their participation could be key in guiding Real Madrid to silverware. Let’s have a detailed look at the four players and how they could play an important role.

FEDERICO VALVERDE

Federico Valverde has just been handed a golden opportunity following Toni Kroos’ injury. One man’s misfortune is another man’s opportunity and that is exactly the case for Valverde. According to reports from Marca, the Uruguayan international is keen on securing a prominent role under Carlo Ancelotti. The former Everton manager wants to play high-intensity football and that is exactly what Federico Valverde offers in the engine room.

With Kroos set to miss out on the opening La Liga fixture, all eyes will turn towards Valverde to take his chances. The 23-year-old will have to put in his best shift against Deportivo in order to receive more game time under the new boss.
