HE HAS ALREADY MADE UP HIS MIND TO PLAY FOR REAL MADRID
Not so long ago, I had written a piece on why Kylian Mbappe’s transfer to Real Madrid is an inevitable phenomenon that will happen either this summer or next year. One of the key reasons I consider his potential arrival to be an inevitable event is that he has already made up his mind to play for Real Madrid.
If you’re not aware, Mbappe has been a Madridista since his childhood days and grew up idolizing none other than Cristiano Ronaldo. The Frenchman had even visited Real Madrid as a young boy and was on the club’s radar since then.
Los Blancos had made a bid for him in the summer of 2017 before he signed for PSG. However, the deal fell through since Zinedine Zidane could not guarantee the then 18-year-old regular playing time due to the presence of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale in the squad.
Since then, Mbappe has grown from one of the most promising talents into an established world-class player. His contract runs out next year with Paris Saint-Germain and he does not plan to renew terms. It looks like he is fixated on the idea of joining Real Madrid and hopefully it happens this time.
