Real Madrid are set to have a meeting with AC Milan and discuss potential transfers for Alvaro Odriozola, Dani Ceballos and Isco.

Real Madrid played their final preseason game against AC Milan that ended in a 0-0 draw. Carlo Ancelotti’s preseason games have not had much to write home about as the actual test is on Sunday evening against Deportivo Alaves.

It’s a well-known fact that Ancelotti wants to trim his squad down before the start of the 2021-22 season. Real Madrid are also eager on selling players to garner funds to facilitate the arrival of Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain, which seems like a real possibility this time due to the potential arrival of Lionel Messi.

According to Fabio Gatto, Los Blancos are open to parting ways with Alvaro Odriozola, Dani Ceballos and Isco. At the moment, AC Milan are set to have a meeting with the club to discuss potential transfers. Madrid are keen on closing at least one deal with the Rossoneri.

Which Real Madrid player could possibly end up at AC Milan?

According to Fabio Gatto, AC Milan’s technical director Paolo Maldini has spoken to Isco and his representatives about a deal and the talks have progressed well. Gatto states that personal terms have been agreed with the Spanish playmaker and now Milan will negotiate a deal with Real Madrid.

In my opinion, offloading Isco is the best and safest option at the moment. The midfield needs Dani Ceballos for depth to rotate with either Toni Kroos or Luka Modric. In the attacking midfield department, Ancelotti already has Martin Odegaard which means there’s not much use of Isco in the current squad.

Real Madrid could provide Alvaro Odriozola with another chance to prove himself after the former Real Sociedad right-back showed a few glimpses of quality towards the end of last season. Ceballos and Odriozola should stay whilst Isco, whose contract expires next year, should be cashed in on immediately.
