Villarreal

This one’s the least likely, in my opinion, but it does still make sense. Villarreal are one of the best clubs in the league, and it would be great to see Ceballos ply his trade at La Ceramica. They’re an excellent side if you think about how they defeated the odds and lifted the Europa League trophy when almost all of football counted them out before the game even began. I genuinely think Ceballos could fit into this team really well.

Dani Parejo is 32 years old, and Manu Trigueros is also going to be 30 this year. These two players aren’t that old obviously, but it would be great if someone like Ceballos challenged them for the starting spot at Villarreal. I think Dani Parejo will be able to hold his own because of the quality he possesses, but Manu Trigueros, up against Ceballos could prove to be an interesting battle.

Both players have great skillsets that could be used in many ways. Both of them play as central midfielders, and can provide a lot to the table. Having Ceballos with them could improve Manu’s performances, and it would automatically improve Villarreal’s chances of making it into the top four. They’d have a great option off the bench either way.

Ceballos will have to fight for his spot though, which is the case with almost all the teams on this list. He won’t have a guaranteed spot, and I think that’s a good thing. It helps players find the urge to keep performing at their best, and I think that if this move ever happens, Ceballos has the potential to take over the starting spot.
