EDEN HAZARD

Ever since arriving at Real Madrid two years ago, Eden Hazard has been marred with injury issues and has not been able to replicate his Chelsea form at all. While he may be blamed for coming to the club in utterly shameful shape after his vacation in 2019, the fitness team from the last couple of years must also be blamed for their lack of care and attention on Hazard during his time in Spain.

Since his most recent setback, the 30-year-old had started to work with the Belgian doctors and fitness experts as opposed to Dupont and those in Madrid. He never suffered a relapse since then, barring a small niggle in the European Championship. For nearly three months now, Hazard has remained in fine shape and certainly not coincidentally since Pintus arrived at Real Madrid.

He faces a do-or-die situation of sorts in the 2021/22 campaign, but his mentality and most recent fitness news suggest that he has what it takes to prove a number of fans wrong. I’ve said it before and I will say it many more times – don’t expect Hazard to score 50 goals a season, just enjoy his creativity and enjoy him as a player and you’ll see how that still benefits the team.
